The records on this page are from Wells History of Roane County, Volume I and II.  The preface to Vol. II (Chattanooga Public Library [TR976.884] contains the following statement in ink:  "The Hinds Family records and the muster roll of Capt. John Hinds companies are from the original Colonial and State Records of N.C. Vol. XXII, p. 192."

This record has been used to establish generational connection in making application for membership in the National Society Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) and the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) for members of the family who wish to participate in those organizations.
